On September 24-25, 2008, twenty theological scholars met in Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania to discuss various trends and issues in contemporary hermeneutics--one of the most important issues facing evangelicalism today. Dr. Hixson was pleased to serve on this Council with several well-known and accomplished scholars including Dr. Charles Ryrie, Dr. Tommy Ice, Dr. Robert Thomas, Dr. Robert Lightner, Dr. Mike Stallard, Dr. John Master, and Dr. Rodney Decker. The goal of this Council is to produce a series of formal statements addressing many of the erroneous hermeneutical approaches prevalent within evangelical Christianity.
